Tanna is a native of Trigg County and a graduate of Trigg County High School. She is a 2019 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Family Science and a minor in Communication. While a student at the University of Kentucky and upon graduation, she served as the Afternoon Preschool Teacher for 2-5 year olds at Walnut Hill Day School. Most recently, Tanna was the Child Services Coordinator for La Limye’ Ministries in
Haiti. La Limye’ is a children’s home for girls and a school for children with special
needs. The mission of La Limye’ is to show and teach about the love of Jesus
Christ. While serving at La Limye’, Tanna had a variety of responsibilities. She
oversaw the daily duties for the little girls living in the children’s home, taught
basic preschool education and English, and was the liaison for the children’s home
with the Board of Directors in the United States. Tanna was also in charge of the
Haitian staff and helped develop and adhere to the budget of the children’s
home. While the director was in the United States for an extended period of
time, Tanna was also the acting director for the children’s home. While in Haiti,
Tanna developed typhoid fever and had to be hospitalized. Her illness, along with
the civil unrest in Haiti, led her to the difficult decision to return to the United
States. CBCCA is enthusiastically overwhelmed and grateful that Tanna is here
with us. Her love for Jesus and for children is evident to all who have met her.
